Description:
J P Sauer & Sons Drilling. The 25” barrels are chambered for 12x12x.30-06 and this gun was proof dated 1967. The 12 gauge barrels are chambered for 2 ¾” shells. The bores, like the rest of the gun, appear unused and unfired with chokes of Mod & Full. The coin finished frame/action is handsomely engraved with nicely cut game scenes. A stag depicted on the left side and a roe deer are on the right side. The bottom and other areas are covered in fine scroll. Traces of case colors remain on the frame, otherwise faded to a bright coin finish. The action has two underlug locks, a cross bolt third fastener and side clips making it incredibly tight and solid. The barrels retain 99%+ original blue. The stock features a raised cheek piece and it appears to have been fitted with a vented recoil pad for a 15 1/8”” LOP. The stock finish is 98% with a few very light handling marks and the checkering is a very nice skip line pattern. Factory beavertail forearm. This drilling weighs 7 lbs. 14 oz. Beautiful ,modern drilling in popular 12 gauge and .30-06 cartridges.
