Description:
Serial #81175, .455 Eley (Webley), 5 1/2" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This 1915-made revolver retains 75-80% of the original blue finish that has faded to gray at the muzzle-end of the barrel and silvered along the raised edges and projections. The cylinder has scattered surface scratches and a light turn-ring at the rear with further spots of plum-brown freckling on both sides of the frame. The checkered hard rubber grips are in fine condition with some slight wear and light flattening of the points. The lock-up is still tight and the action functions flawlessly. The revolver has British military acceptance proofs and post-war commercial proofmarks, and is a great World War I handgun in very good condition. FFL or C&R
