Description:
Manufactured at Charleville arsenal in June 1814 during the First Restoration period. This period lasted for less than one year, making weapons from that time period pretty scarce. This one is complete, original, matching, and in exceptional condition, especially the wood, which has very nice inspection stamps and is made from almost purple French walnut. The only defect is a nearly invisible partial separation of the wood in front of the lockplate with a chip missing from the lock mortise. It is trapped in place by the barrel band, but if you want to shoot this pistol, it should be expertly repaired with wood pins and glue. It would make a excellent shooter. .69 caliber. I accept payment using Paypal if you pay an additional 3% to help cover their charge. Otherwise, checks and MO's are fine. I will ship to France.
