Description:
August Schuler bolt action Mauser. Custom wartime sporter (proof markings indicate manufacture date of December 1943) from one of Suhl's most respected names. Chambered in the highly desirable 7x64mm Brenneke caliber, effective on any any game in North America and very pleasant to shoot. This gun has all the features: double set triggers, checkered butterknife bolt handle, 23” classic octagon to round Krupp Laufstahl (Krupp fluid steel) barrel with full length integral matted rib, 1 fixed and 1 folding rear sight, ramp mounted silver bead front sight; oak leaf engraving on front receiver ring and trigger guard; relief game scene engraving of stag and oak leaves on floorplate; pancake cheekpiece. 14 1/8 LOP. Weight is only 6 lbs. 6 oz. The gun is tapped on the left side for a side scope that could be fitted again if you so desire and want to take the time to locate an appropriate mount or have one fabricated, although the gun is very accurate as-is using the existing open sights.
Priced at $1,500.
