Offered for sale is a Colt Officers Model Special target revolver with the 6” barrel and chambered in the ever popular .22 caliber. The Colt Officers Model Special was only manufactured from 1949-1951 making it the shortest production revolver that Colt made and certainly one that is very collectible. This one was produced in 1950 and remains in very good condition with just a couple of small marks and light muzzle wear. The original Dual-Tone blue finish remains in excellent condition. It has a serrated ramp front sight and the Coltmaster adjustable rear sight which is adjustable for elevation and windage. The gun is mechanically perfect and the bore is excellent. The gun is equipped with a special order target hammer and has a wide trigger shoe installed. The action is as smooth as velvet and the factory Coltwood grips are like new. This is one of the finest .22 target revolvers that Colt ever produced and is considered to be one of the most accurate. Every Officers Model Special was guaranteed to put 5 shots inside of a fifty cent circle or it was rejected at the factory. It comes with the original box and two copies of Colt ad’s from the 1949-1951 time period. shape. I offer a three day non firing inspection period and always want the buyer to be satisfied with their purchase. The gun will be packed correctly and shipped via FedEx Air with insurance to your FFL dealer in the continental United States for $55 (California is extra because I have to ship through my local dealer). This gun requires a C&R or FFL license for transfer. I ship the following day after the payment arrives and provide tracking information.
