Description:
Lancaster. Model London 4-Barrel Tip up large bore pistol. Mint bores. Cal 455 Webley. 4" round barrels. Charles Lancaster operated a gun shop at 151 New Bond Street, London beginning in 1822 until 1854. The family was in business until 1932. The barrels all have London proofs. Top rib is stamped "CHARLES LANCASTER PATENT 151 NEW BOND STLONDON". Barrels are a smooth brown patina with a richer blue in the flutes. Frame is the same patina. Has a finely checkered pistol grip two piece stock, serrated back strap, lanyard ring, left side barrel release lever and single trigger. Stocks are in excellent condition. Beautiful working order. This pistol shoots great. Razor sharp markings and crisp checkering. A finely made, high condition large bore multi-barrel pistol rarely seen, especially in this condition. Serial # 8986.
