ONE OF THE LESS COMMON WINCHESTER BOLT ACTION .22LRs IS THIS MODEL 57, #6XXX, MADE 1927, excellent condition overall with particularly fine stock showing only very light handling, most of the deep blue remains with only minor scuffing, exc. markings, MINT BRIGHT BORE, small blade front sight with folding buckhorn rear sight, looks like this one had a receiver sight at one time as the factory filler screws are missing (all came drilled and tapped for Lyman 42 W receiver sight which was a special order option), correct Winchester marked magazine, even the barrel band retains nice blue, correct checkered steel butt plate, tight action, great trigger pull, canvas sling has a patent date of 1914 on it, only 19,281 of this model produced before it fell victim of the Great Depression. This is a super example.
