Description:
Offered for sale is a William Douglass .470 Nitro Express Double Rifle. It is a Boxlock with ejectors and a color cased receiver. The barrels are 23.5". It weighs 11lbs 8ozs with scope, which is a 1.25-4x20 Schmidt & Bender Magnum scope mounted on traditional Claw mounts. It also features Express Sights with one standing for 50 yards, and 2 folding leaves, for 100yards and 150yards.
The rifle has sling swivels, and a 15" LOP from front trigger to the back of the recoil pad. There is also an oak and leather makers case.
The rifle includes the following ammunition. 40 rounds of Norma 500grn soft point 20 rounds of Woodleigh 500grn FMJ by Superior Ammunition 15 rounds of Barnes 500grn XLC by Superior Ammunition
There are two leather cartridge boxes.
There is a three day, non-firing inspection from receipt by the FFL.
The rifle has been proven on Safari having garnered a lion in Mozambique in 2003.
