Description:
It is not very often that we see one of these Remington 870 Express Magnums in 20 gauge, and even more uncommon to find one with a short barrel with rifle sights and a short buttstock.  This Remington 870 Express Magnum has a 20 inch barrel with adjustable rifle sights, and the length of pull is 12 & 7/8ths inches to the end of the black Remington pad.  This shotgun is ideal for recoil sensitive shooters or those small in stature, and can easily be carried and handled in a blind or treestand by a hunter of any size who wishes to hunt deer with it.  This 870 would also make an ideal home defense gun that even a novice could load, operate, and shoot.  The parkerized receiver is already drilled and tapped so optics can be easily mounted if desired.  Going by the two letter date code on the barrel of "PM", this shotgun was made by Remington in June of 1992.  This 20 gauge 870 Express Magnum shows some honest carry wear and handling marks, but is still nice and tight with a smooth action and a crisp trigger.  As you can see in the provided pictures, there are a couple of spots on the barrel where the parkerized finish is worn thin around the choke stamping and the opposite side where Remington proofed the barrel.  The visible wear on the reciever is concentrated on the high edges, and there is one spot to the left of the rear filler screws where there has been some minor rust previously.  The stock set is in excellent shape structurally with no cracks or repairs, but it does show some minor handling marks.  The pressed checkering is still in excellent shape and provides some help gripping this pump gun.  This 870 Express Magnum works 100% like the day it left the factory.  The non-rifled smooth bore is in excellent condition.  It is bright and clean with no dents, bulges, or corrosion.  It is a fixed choke gun that came from the factory "Improved Cylinder".  This shotgun would be an excellent addition to any gun collection, and could be carried and used without worrying too much about hurting it's resale value.
