Description:
This is a very nice untouched Savage M99 EG rifle in .300 Savage. Solid Frame. 24" barrel. This gun has been hunted with and shows some carry wear on receiver belly & high edges but most original factory blue remains. Barrel blue bright.Teeny light freckling on bbl top... harldy worth mentiong. Sights appear factory original. Excellent bright bore with strong rifling. Screws untouched. 1950's Chicopee Falls production, 627XXX serial range. No extra non-factory holes.
Wood is unsanded with original finish. Original factory checkering sharp with some areas of handling marks. . Lower right front edge of forend schnable tip has a minor chip which actually is not too noticable & could be blended to go away very easily. (note picture)
Strong original factory case color on lever. Correct grip cap & serrated buttplate.
This is just a very nice honest fairly high condition M99 that has been gently hunted with here in the Adirondacks and has years & years of hunting life left in it. I've priced it right.
