Early Pre-War Griffin & Howe Custom. Built on a Winchester Model 54 barreled action. 24 inch barrel with barrel band swivel and G&H front sight hood. Bore is perfect. Zeiss Ziel-Dialyt 4x scope (post & crosshair reticle) with windage adjustable, all steel, G&H side mount. Long Slide Lyman 48 rear sight. Early style G&H stock beautifully fitted, finished and checkered. 14 inch LOP to a steel checkered and engraved butt plate. The rifle comes complete with the original G&H branded leather sling with Winchester Super Grade swivels. Pre-War G&H rifles built on barreled actions do not carry a G&H serial number. Actions barreled by G&H have numbers. A highly collectable, all original 257 Griffin & Howe in near new condition! It is very accurate as well! The rear aperture of the sight has been removed for scope clearance, the slide remains in place as pictured. I have a complete Long Slide Lyman 48 sight that I will include for an additional $150. A beautiful, collectable rifle from the "golden years" of Griffin & Howe!
