16-95 Remington New Model Army Percussion Civil War Revolver, 44 cal., 6-shot 8” Bbl. Ser #48796
on barrel frame poorly marked 4897 under grips. Standard Markings, “Patented Sept 14, 1858/E Remington & Sons Lion New York, USA/ New Model”, has military inspector’s markings on various parts. The bore
is shinny with most of rifling and minor corrosion; cylinder chambers will clean up well. Action works
well and locks up tight when cocked. Metal is clean light patches of corrosion on frame. This gun would
be perfect for someone who wants to shoot an original antique with very good rifling. Replacement walnut grips have a nice grain. Overall a nice VG original antique Civil War era Rem. Army suitable for collector/shooter.
