This rifle is a Colt Deluxe Lightning Small Frame, chambered in .22 RF. This antique Colt is dated from 1889. Metal retains 70% of its original bluing, with traces of color casing on hammer and lever. The barrel and receiver are stamped with British proof marks, indicating that this rifle was imported into Great Britain. Wood shows minor dents and scratches, and a varnish has been added to the buttstock by a 3rd party. The 24” octagonal barrel has a very good bore. An ideal candidate for any antique slide action rifle collection.
