RARE REMINGTON-SMOOT #1 NEW MODEL .30 RF SHORT CAL. REVOLVER W/EARLY REVOLVING RECOIL SHIELD CA. 1870’S. Only about 500-600 made and first type Smoot made. Has early recoil shield/loading gate that rotates to facilitate cartridge ejection and loading. All original and matching in the 2xx serial range. Excellent and all original and matching with 98% nickel finish. Excellent factory walnut grips with nearly all the finish. Hammer with nearly all the case colors. Perfect working order and excellent condition. Early Remington collection provenance.
