Description:
Rare late WWII Inland Hand Stamped M1 Carbine in excellent condition. Original finish, USGI parts, not import marked, no rust or pitting on metal, no cracks on wood, very nice bore, shoots fine. Was rebuilt at the end of WWII at the Anniston Arsenal. Receiver, barrel, stock (sling outlet is HI marked), slide, and front band are Inland; the rest was changed to parts by other USGI manufacturers. Not to be confused with modern import marked and refinished imports. Still an excellent original collectible piece and shooter. By the end of the WWII, Inland produced small number of carbines and later would decide if it would be M1 Carbine (semi-automatic) or M2 Carbine (fully automatic), that is why the number 1 in "M1" is hand stamped. I'm not a dealer. I'm a private collector and I'm currently thinning out my collection. Layaway is fine, email for terms.
