Winchester Model 1892 Sporting Rifle .44-40wcf. The serial number of this example is 91XX placing date of manufacture in 1892 a "First Year Production Gun". ANTIQUE... Overall condition is verged with 60% of the original factory finish that has toned to a very even plum/blue patina. The bore is very good, way above average. Strong rifling and shine from breech to muzzle. The bore will rate an 8 on a 1 to 10 scale. The action is tight, smooth and mechanically perfect.
