You often see Swedish 6.5 x 55 rifles listed as FSR rifles simply because someone has mounted a diopter sight on them. This not a reliable indicator — one can only be certain if the rifle has been worked on byone of the approximately 20 or so authorized FSR gunsmiths in Sweden or are one of the 18,000 -/+ rifles produced by Husqvarna during World War 2, serial number range 686,000 through the mid 703,000s. This rifle is one of the rifles produced during the 1942 to 1944 period.
This particular rifle appears in The Swedish Mauser by Steve Kehaya and Joe Poyer. There is a letter from Mr. Poyer as confirmation.
The condition of the rifle is excellent with a good bore, matching numbers and angled crown stamps indicating the parts are from Husqvarna.
