Description:
These new model breech loading pocket pistols were made from left over parts from the Pocket Navy Model and also converted from finished 1849 Old Model Pockets that remained in inventory. Barrels without rammer holes were newly manufactured 3 1/2 inches in length and in .38 caliber. This gun, serial number 328444, falls near the end of production, in the late 1870's. It remains in excellent original condition, with a perfect bore, excellent grips, 85 to 90% original blue finish, and a vivid stagecoach hold-up scene on the cylinder. It is chambered for the centerfire .38 Colt cartridge. By far the majority of these model were nickel plated, and it is rare to find one with an excellent blue finish. A very nice looking gun.
