Extraordinarily rare and unique Boss & Co. 28 bore rounded small frame sidelock ejector game gun. Serial number 100xx. 28” nitro proofed steel barrels with game rib and single front bead, marked "Boss & Co 13 Dover Street London". 2 ¾” chambers. Ejectors. Fantastic scaled frame round body sidelock action, coin finish, and with stunning engraving by A. Brown, one of the greatest modern day English engravers. Engraving features flying grouse on the left, flying waterfowl on the right, and beautiful tight rose & scroll engraving on bottom. Unique and beautiful deep relief engraved barrel bolsters have been meticulously executed. Original Boss single trigger. Long tang rolled edge trigger guard with rose & scroll engraving. Gorgeous figured and black streaked English walnut straight grip stock and splinter forend. Checkered butt. Cased in maker’s leather case with accessories including Boss stamped snap-caps and oil bottle.
Condition:
Gun is as new and retains all original factory finish. Case is excellent overall.
Gentleman, this is absolutely the finest and most unique modern made Boss shotgun extant. The rounded and diminutive frame and overall balance of gun is without question perfection realized.
