Mounted Koto Aikuchi. Signed: Bishu Osafune Nobu Uji. Date is illegible. Kogai and Kogatana are signed. Saya has profusely inlaid Kogiri and Kurikata. Blade has narrow suguha. Nagasa or cutting edge is 12 ¾”. There were 2 generations of Nobu Uji. Nobu Uji worked in the 1300’s. See Hawley, Page 608 (Nob 552 and Nob 553).
