Description:
Enfield No.2 Mk.1** accepted in to service 1942, this one being manufactured 1944 according to the serial number prefix “ZB”. The Enfield revolver’s design was infamously taken from Webley & Scott and given to the RSAF for “modification”. The revolver that came from this modification was the Enfield No.2, of course all of this was followed up by a lawsuit… that Webley lost. Anyways, this is the Mk.1** simplified wartime production variant denoted by the spurless hammer and the double action only, as well the two five point stars following the Enfield marking on the side plate(I’ll take it apart upon request to double check the variant). The parkerized finish is worn on this Mk.1**, in addition to a few dings and a few nicks in the Bakelite grips. The markings are worn pretty well, so look at the pictures for a better understanding of what markings are on the gun and/or what condition the gun is in. There is a FTR(Factory to Repair) marking on the side plate denoting a factory repair in 52. The “private view Marks” are worn too much to deduce the characters. Chambered in .38/200 or .380 SAA Ball, 5-inch barrel with a bore that looks like new, an empty weight of 1.69lbs and a 6-shot fluted cylinder. Also note the lanyard ring(if it had one) is gone.
