SOLD.......VERY DESIRABLE Luger 1906 American Eagle. 9MM. PRICE REDUCED $2,495 from $2,595. Only about 3000 1906 AE's were manufactured in 9MM. This Luger is all matching original parts and an exquisitely detailed museum-quality restoration in 100% condition. Collectors Firearms in Houston and a couple of other Luger enthusiasts have examined the gun, and all believe it is most likely a KRAUSEWERK restoration. Must have been a pretty nice gun to begin with, since the metal appears perfect. All radiuses, edges, toggle knurling and stampings are sharp and original milling marks are still visible. Original style deep rust bluing and straw, with correct nitrite blue on grip screws, toggle pin and front sight blade. Muzzle is in the white. Grips are beautifully grained and sharp checkered select walnut and fit like a glove. Bore is lightly frosted with strong rifling lands and grooves, and chamber throat is sharp with no erosion. Appears unfired following restoration. I have owned this desirable Luger for almost 10 years, and never even thought of firing it. Original unnumbered magazine has wood cap with "CAL 9MM" stamped in script. The mag alone is a $500+ item. Currently only 3 original 1906 9MM’s here on GI, and priced at $3,795, $6500 & $8500. This specimen would certainly be an important part or perhaps a centerpiece of any Luger collection. I'm retired now, and it's time to pass this beautiful piece along to another Luger enthusiast. Priced appropriately as a restoration at $2,495, & ship/ins. I have purposely taken plenty of close-up pics so you can purchase with confidence. I will provide a 3-day period to conduct a “no-disassembly/no-firing” inspection at your FFL with right to return/refund of the purchase price (less ship/ins.). The gun must be returned in same condition/same parts, with shipping & ins to my FFL at buyer’s expense. This gun must be shipped to your FFL via USPS. Pay w/ United States Postal M.O. ONLY – no personal or bank MO’s. Buyer pays ship/ins. No sale to anywhere prohibited by state and/or local law. It should be OK for California purchase, but check with your FFL and/or CA DOJ to be sure.
