Description:
Pre war FN sporting rifle in 8 Mm Mauser (8x57).This rifle has a 24"barrel with a mint bore.It has see through claw mounts and a 4X scope installed.I do not know the manufacturer of the scope,but it is very clear and usable.It has a European post reticle.The rifle is in excellent condition retaining 95% of the original blue finish and 95% of the original wood finish.Other features include a butterknife bolt handle,sling swivels,a European style checkpiece,a one standing one folding express sight,and a single stage trigger.The trigger has no creep and breaks clean at 31/2 lbs.The action and floorplate have light scroll engraving.This is a classic European style rifle in a great caliber at much less than an equivalent German or Austrian rifle would cost.C&R eligible.
