Smith and Wesson .38 M&P “Victory” Model. Double action Revolver built on the square-butt K frame with five screws. V place in the serial prefix for “victory” against the axis powers in WWII. 5” barrel with good bore, six shot fluted cylinder. Pre-Safety fix, not marked with and “S” but does have a flaming bomb cartouche proof marked on the butt near the lanyard ring. Serial number marked “V 157745”. Not marked with “U.S. Property”, possible contract pistol. Finish is in shows high edge wear, overall great shape for its age.
