Very hard to find this caliber in an octagon rifle and super difficult to find made Pre-1899 Antique, this is a fine example WITH EXCELLENT BORE, receiver shows good thinning blue on the left side mixing gray with the right side showing a bit less blue and more gray, retains thinning blue on bolt, fine aged and thinning blue on the barrel, mag tube retains fine aged blue, exc. wood with tight wood to metal fit and only minor handling marks, has a Marbles buckhorn rear sight with small blade front sight, fine screws, exc. markings, tight action, nice early example that is very hard to find as few in this caliber were made in the earliest years of the Model 1894.
