Description:
The Winchester Model 61 was made from 1932 to 1963 with approximately 350,000 manufactured. The rifles were fitted with either a 24 inch round or octagon barrel, rifled or smooth bore, 2/3 tube magazine, open sights, plain pistol grip stock, and chambered .22 S, L, LR, WRF, or Magnum. This 1951 vintage rifle is as described, is fitted with a 24 inch round barrel, checkered steel butt-plate, rifled bore, and is chambered .22 S, L, or L.R.. It is a beautiful 99%+ gun, retaining near 99%+ of its original blue finish, with just thining on the barrel and operating rod, due to operation of the slide. The stock and forearm retain all of there original finishes, with only a couple of very minor handling marks. The bore is bright and the action functions as new. Fired very little from its appearance. A near new example of one Winchester's best looking pump 22's.
