Payment Types Accepted: Visa,Master Card, Discover,Check Description: Here is a nice example of a Bacon & Co., of Norwich, Connecticut, Underhammer Pistol. These single shot pistols were fitted with 3, 4, 5, or 6 inch barrel, rounded all iron frame with broad and scroll engraving, part octagon/part round barrel, and were .34 caliber percussion cap. There were about 500 of these guns manufactured, this one is serial numbered 39, a very early production pistol. This gun is as described and is fitted with a 4 inch barrel. All metal parts except for the hammer and trigger have lost all their original finishes and have turned a grey/brown patina. The two piece wood grips retain about 50% of their original finish, fit very well , and have no chips and only one small crack on the left grip panel. The bore is shootable, with visible rifling present. The action functions perfectly. The barrel is stamped "BACON & CO. NORWICH C T" and "CAST STEEL". Has a good look about it.
