Description:
Hämmerli 208 in .22 LR A famous swiss competition pistol built during the 70's and 80's, it was replaced a few years ago by the 280 which is recently replaced by SP 20. This pistol characteristically features an interchangeable target front sight retained in a longitudinal dovetail, matched by a rear sight click adjustable for windage and elevation. No U.S. safety lever has been retrofitted. The trigger action is two stage, fully adjustable for weight, sear engagement, and length of pull. The extractor is of the later long type, tensioned by a transverse spring. The original polished blued frame finish, sandblasted barrel finish that is polished, engraved, and blued on the flats, and sandblasted and blued slide and rear sight carrier finish rates about 98%, with slight storage marks and slide cycling marks on the frame, some superficial dings and scratches, no other damage. The bore is bright and shiny and the muzzle crown sports some user wear, but no damage. These pistols cannot be worn out, except through gross abuse. Nothing of the sort has happened to this fine specimen. Manufactured from 1966-88 The pistol wears German nitro Ulm proofs date coded G. The pistol ships with two long base magazines. No box or papers are included.
