This is a 104-yr. old (Mfg.-1913) S.N.# -131053 Savage Model 1899-H Feather-Weight Take-Down Lever-Action Rifle. This Nicely refinished rifle is chambered for the unusual & deceiving .22 Savage High-Power caliber cartridge. All Metal has a Pleasing dark rich bluing. The 20" barrel has a vintage Marbles Full-Buckhorn rear sight and a raised front sight. At onetime there must have been a older long- tubed scope mounted, for there is an extra barrel tapping.(picture) This Great Carbine has the Savage loaded chamber indicator and a cartridge counter window. It also has the Savage Metal Buttplate and the early sling studs. There are some handling marks, with one larger buttstock bruise.(picture) (Mfg. 1912-1941) These Unique Light-Weight Take-Down Rifles can be broke-down into 3 components for easy transport, storage and cleaning. Anyone looking for a real nice shooter, this is the rifle for you!
