SUPERB REMINGTON RIDER D.A. 31 CAL. PERCUSSION SILVER & BLUE POCKET REVOLVER CIRCA 1860’S. First commercially successful American Double Action revolver. Rare in this high condition level in blue as the finish did not take well and flaked easily. All original with 95% barrel blue and 50-60% plus blue on cylinder with all sound nipples. Hammer with the original case hardening. Silver plated frame and trigger guard with most of the finish tarnished very dark. Excellent working order with fine bore and chambers. Mint checkered gutta-percha grips. Screws even have most of the blue. Rare condition and very scarce gun. Famous Remington collection provenance and first time on the market in over 30 years.
