This example shows a Canadian arsenals marked 7.62 barrel with a bright excellent bore. The serial numbers are matching. The bolt shows a 0 bolt head and a stirling extractor. The top of the bolt handle shows the #125, the English crown proof and the long branch / Canadian arsenals maple leaf proof. The rece3iver ring shows the English proof and England. These markings confirm that some of the conversion work was completed in England and the rifle was sent back to Canada after conversion. the barrel is mounted with a sight block and fitted with a matchmaker parker target front sight The receiver is mounted with a PH-5C rear target sight. The rifle was modified to take a 7.62 sterling conversion magazine. The trigger was mounted with a set screw. All of the metal shows original finish which rates at 98%. The wood is all Canadian marked C broad arrow and long branch manufactured the sling is an original Canadian marked, WW2 dated 1943 that remains in excellent plus condition. The majority of these 7.62 Canadian rifles are found as single shot conversions. it is far more difficult to find a Canadian competition rifle with the full sterling conversion. This example remains in overall excellent plus condition and is one of the best examples that we have encountered.
