Description:
Serial #785406, .38 Special, 6" heavy barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a handsome revolver that retains 92-95% of the original blue finish with some mild silvering along the high edges and projections. The front sight ramp also has a few extremely fine surface scratches on the left side, about half-way up. The original, and correct, Coltmaster adjustable target sight is still present. The checkered, mottled Coltwood grips are in excellent condition with very little wear or flattening of the points. The lock-up is firm and the action functions flawlessly. The revolver is accompanied by a 2016 dated Colt Factory Letter that lists a ship date of June 8, 1950, to the York Arms Co. of Memphis, TN as a single gun shipment. This is a rare and desirable Officer's Model that is in excellent condition overall. FFL or C&R
