Description:
SALE - I AM REDUCING THE PRICE ON THIS GORGEOUS RARE BELGIUM BROWNING SUPERPOSED FOR A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME.

This may be the most rare Belgium Browning Superposed shotgun in existance. Special Orders are the most rare of all Brownings, and this particular Special Order Superposed shotgun, is so unique, and has such a special history, it may be the most rare of all of them.

I am the original owner of this 1971 SPECIAL ORDER Belgium Browning Superposed 12 gauge 3 inch chambered, 28 inch Broadway Rib, Diana Grade over/under shotgun, and I have the original Browning lifetime guarantee.

When my father died, I received a small inheiritance, with which I ordered and paid for, this one-of-a-kind SPECIAL ORDER Belgium Browning Superposed shotgun.

I did not have enough money to originally orfer a full Diana Grade Superposed, but I did have enough money, to Special Order a Grade one 12 gauge Superposed, with Special Order Diana Grade wood and Special Order Diana Grade checkering, and many additional Special Order features, making this a very, very  rare Special Order Superposed, with many other unique Special Order features, which I will list later in the narrative.

Years later, when I could afford to do so, I sent the gun to original Browning Master Engraver Angelo Bee, for the actual Diana Grade engraving, to go with the Diana Grade wood and checkering, that I had originally ordered with the gun in 1971.

I asked Angelo to sign his engraving on each side, using a different method of signature on each side. The engraving is so signed on each side.

This gun does not have any salt wood, even though it is within that time period.

When the gun first arrived, I was not satisfied with the figure of the wood, and I wrote Browning, that I was not satisfied, and they replied for me to return the gun, and they would personally select and refit a highly figured Diana Grade stock and foreend, of which I would be proud. They did, I was and I am still today.

That is probably why it missed the salt wood problem, and it adds to the uniqueness of the gun.

I was in my early 30's when I ordered this gun, and I wanted it to be something special, with which to remember my father.

. I wanted it to hunt ducks & geese (that's why the 3" 12 gauge chambers), pheasants, rabbits and partridge. I also wanted to shoot occasional Singles and doubles in Trap, and an occasional Skeet round (thats why the 28" Broadway Rib & adjustable Morgan recoil pad)).

The New Style Skeet stocks and forends had just come out, and I liked the look and feel of this style, especially the beavertail forend (thats why I ordered my special gun with New Style Skeet Diana Grade wood and checkering); 28 inch Broadway Rib hunting barrels with ivory front and center beads (this might be the rarest feature on the gun; when have you ever seen a 28 inch Broadway Rib 3' magnum chambered Hunting gun, or simply a 28" Broadway Rib with 3" magnum chambers?

Most all Broadway Ribs are 30" or 32."  28 inch  Broadway ribs, in 26" or 28" were available by Special Order only, for a very short window of time.

When I tried to order another 26.5"  Broadway rib Superosed, I received a letter from Browning, saying they were no longer available, and they had to cancel my order.).

When have you ever seen 3" magnum chambers on a Broadway Rib Superposed? This may be the only one made with this feature.

In addition to the 3" magnum chambers, this gun was special orfered with 13.75 LOP and fully adjustable Morgan recoil pad, so I could shoot occasional Trap and Skeet rounds, as well as hunting, which was the main purpose, for my use of the gun.

The gun has never been refinished. It is in original 98+% one owner condition.

As you can see from the photos, the wood, the hand cut checkering,  and the engraving are outstanding.

I have taken special care of this very special gun since new, which it is why it remains in great condition. It has had very little use, and has spent most of its life on display, in my custom built 22 gun oak gun cabinet.

. I did all the things I wanted to do with this gun, and I did them sparingly. Now sadly, at age 79, I am offering it for sale.

The nice thing about the original Morgan adjustable pad, is that nice looking stainless spacers can be added in front of it, to fit the LOP of any potential buyer.

Don't hesitate on this Special Order beautiful Diana Grade Belgium Browning Superposed shotgun.

Call me at 906-884-2000 between 11 AM and 11 PM EST, and I will be glad to answer your questions. I believe I still have the factory letter exchange about the wood, and the letter indicating the shorter Broadway Rib barrels were no longer available, as well as the original lifetime service guarantee.

Also, do not forget to look at my other listing  for a Special Order small gauge Belgium Superposed Pigeon Grade 3-barrel set, composed of a 3" magnum 20 gauge, a 2 3/4" 28 Gauge, and a 3" magnum 410 gauge, that was originally ordered for a Hollywood star, through the famous Kerr's Sporting Good store in Hollywood, California. This set is also 13.75 LOP and in gorgeous 99% condition. Three barrel small gauge sets are rare, but special orfer sets, are extremely rare. This set also comes with a factory letter.
