Description:
As new top of the line Verney Carron double rifle in populat 450 3 1/4" NE caliber. Conditon is at least 99% - I cannot find a mark on it - it has never been hunted. Elephant scene on the bottom of the receiver is signed by the engraver. Also has grip cap compartment that holds extra firing pins as well as a leather covered recoil pad. Comes with V-C leather case and an ABS case as well as regulation target, snap caps, and all original paperwork. The rifle was regualted with Hornady ammunition. The test targets included show two off hand groups at 25 yards and three groups from a rest at 50 yards with my load data annotated. The rifle has a base installed in the rib to take a red dot sight, and the groups fired at 50 yards were with the red dot sight mounted. It also has a flip up front night sight. LOP is 14 5/8", Weight is 12 pounds, and and barrels are 25 inches long. The 25 yard groups were shot with plain iron sights. This is the most accurate double rifle I have owned.
