ON HOLD / Remington Model 1858 Army Revolver. serial # 48247, cal. 44, has a 8" barrel showing light pitting throughout with good rifling. The metal has a nice smooth brown patina, the barrel is marked part of which is a light but readable. The back strap is drilled possibly for mounting some sort of shoulder stock. Note, the revolver functions but needs a hand spring. The left grip has a faint cartouche, overall the grips are fine. Overall as photographed and described condition is good - good plus. Inv.: # 12-147
