Engraved Colonial Style Percussion Pistol
Circa 1850s with Interesting Decor
Here we present an antique Percussion Pistol, made circa 1850. This pistol was handmade, likely patterned after a European example. The lock, barrel and barrel bands are quite ornate. Each are hand engraved, with the barrel being inlaid.
This specimen has a dark patina on the metal surfaces. The stock has a couple old dings, including the piece missing front of the lock. The bore is smooth and in good condition. The action is functional, but weak.
