Engraved Colonial Style Flintlock Pistol
Circa 1850s with Ivory Carvings
Here we present an antique Percussion Pistol, made circa 1850. This pistol was handmade, engraved, and inlaid with carved ivory. The lock is European. This very likely came out of a colony held by a European nation.
This specimen has a dark patina on the metal surfaces. The engraving is very elaborate. The stock is a little rough. The entire bottom of the front of the stock is clad in iron and engraved. The bore is smooth with the condition fitting the exterior condition. The lock is functional, but the screw holding the lock on is absent.
