Purdey 12 ga. pre-war best sidelock gamegun, 30" Sir Joseph Whitworth steel barrels, 2-1/2" chambers, choked improved cylinder and full (.010/.032). 1920s production features the finest Purdey scroll of the era, retains 75% case colors. Splinter forend, straight hand stock of highly figured true French walnut with extraordinary black figure and flame grain. Measures 1-1/2" comb, 2" heel, 14-1/2" LOP to a checkered butt. Fine example of Purdey's prime period. Ideal for those high pheasants! Weighs 6 lbs 10 oz. Cased in canvas case with leather corners and Purdey label.
