Winchester Model 94 carbine in the hardest caliber to find in this vintage, the 25-35. This carbine is in the 1,229,xxx serial range and has the factory "W" stamped just below the serial #, one of a bunch in a narrow serial range marked as such due to an initially bad batch of bluing chemicals Winchester experienced. Serial # dates it to about 1940 production. Bore is excellent, action is strong, safety functions as it should. This one is an outstanding shooter and has taken a bunch of Catskill Mountain and Adirondack Mountain whitetails. Stocks show wear but no splits or cracks and no extra holes. Some original bluing remains, more so on the mag tube and receiver, barrel is mostly gray/patina. Some of the nice fire blue remains on the loading gate. Original rear sight and buttplate are intact. Front sight hood missing. Although used, this one has not been abused, and is a very good representative piece in a great caliber. No international sales and no sales to California.
