CIVIL WAR MANSFIELD & LAMB U.S. MODEL 1860 CAVALRY SABER. Dated "1864" with U.S. and "J.C.W." inspector's initials on ricasso and Mansfield & Lamb address in oval opposite. Double fullers on sharpened balde with no bends or dings in edge. 34 3/4" full length blade. Original leather washer. Nicely aged mellow brass guard solidly afixed to blade with no play. Original leather wrap with original double twist strand wire. Nice affordable example withou scabbard ofcourse.
