German 98 Mauser 8.15x46R caliber rifle manufactured by V. Charles Schilling Co. V.CS in oval cartouche on receiver ring. This rifle was no doubt made or converted to the Sportgewehr 8.15x46R caliber and refinished at that time with numbers removed and receiver ring “scrubbed” of any manufacturer marks except for Schillings cartouche. Gun has 95% blue, bore is excellent. Bolt matches. Stock is very good. Gun is very good plus overall.
