Very rare Remington Model 1888 Revolver ( The Transition Model). SN# 71, 44-40 CF, nickel finish, ivory grips. Less than 1000 of this model produced in 1888 and 1889. Featured in the 1889 catalog of famous firearms dealers Hartley and Graham after they assumed control of Remington manufacturing. This model features the reduced ejectorwhich was designed to compete with the Colt SAA. Barrel address reads " E REMINGTON & SONS, ILION, NY USA". Gun has been renickeled. Antique ivory grips have shrunken to the grip strap. Lanyard ring was optional and is not present. Bore is fair. Your chance to own a very rare Remington handgun.
