Roy Weatherby is perhaps the most famous American rifle maker primarily because he developed his own high velocity rifle calibers. He started in 1945 and this rifle was produced to commemorate his 35th Anniversary in 1980 in a limited edition of only 1000 rifles. The .300 Weatherby Magnum is his most popular caliber and has been used by thousands of big game hunters around the world. This rifle appears to be unfired, however there are a few small rust spots on the outside of the barrel due to poor storage. The wood used on this rifle was hand selected, deluxe wood that is free from cracks or repairs. It only has some very tiny handling marks only noticeable under close examination. The checkering is still crisp and sharp, and the bore in this rifle is minty. The rifling is still sharp and there is no pitting or erosion. It also comes with an unused set RCBS reloading dies and a Leupold base and ring set. This is one beautiful rifle and anyone would be proud to own it. Add it to your collection or shoot it, the choice is yours.
