Description:
#NVSN, .40 cal, 3 1/2 inch barrels, blue finish, 1 piece walnut grips, marked "Bird & Ashmore--London", 2 top barrels numbered 14 & 15 respectively and match numbers on the frame, believe all 3 are screw barrrels but have not tried to remove them, snap bayonet, British proofs, ignition system allows for 1, 2 or 3 barrels to fire simultaneously depending on order fired, features a sliding "safety" that locks a priming pan much as a flintlock would, pulling trigger guard back releases bayonet, makers were together for 1 or 2 years in the early 19th century.
Condition: rifling is deep and sharp, metal retains 65% blue that has gone to plum, grip is very good with some shrinkage, excellent mechanically, excellent markings.
