Another fine “ESTATE” firearm offered by Dust 2 Dollars. We offer you an Ultra-rare Weatherby custom Remington Model 58 12 gauge shotgun by J.D. Bates (John Bates). Only a handful of shotguns were customized by the early Weatherby Custom Shop. It wears a left hand figured Walnut buttstock with large double Kite inlay, elongated flared Ebony grip with Diamond and double spacers with large coverage checkering. The discolored Platon finish is in very fine condition with an early Whiteline Skeet recoil pad and a beautiful figured Walnut forend with wrap around checkering. The high polish bluing is in excellent condition and the trigger guard was polished to a bright finish as shown. It wears a 26” vent rib barrel with a Polychoke.
