ANTIQUE SERIAL NUMBER SINGLE ACTION ARMY, .38-40, 4 ¾” BARREL, #180XXX, MADE 1898, al correct with matching numbers, exc. screws and cylinder pin, overall gray/brown with some traces of blue in the most protected areas like in the flute under the ejector housing, around the trigger guard etc, very tight action, bore a bit dark with good rifling and scattered light roughness, front sight filed for “sighting in,” exc. markings including the correct two line barrel address, fine un-chipped and un-cracked grips that show normal light wear and fit perfectly, an obviously carried and used but cared for cowboy revolver that came out of Arizona, hard to find antique .38-40s.
