BELGIAN Antique L. Lambin & Cie. Percussion Musket
Made in Liege, Belgium circa the 1840s
Here we present an antique L. Lambin & Cie. Percussion Musket, made circa the 1840s in Liege, Belgium. This was a very typical military style rifle for the time, and one likely to have been imported by the combatants of the American Civil War. The lock is marked “L. LAMBIN & Cie/LIEGE”. There is a Liege proof mark on the left side of the barrel and monogrammed initials on the stock.
The overall condition is fair. The metal surfaces are lightly pitted and have a dark brown patina. The stock is in good condition. The bore is rifled and matches the exterior of the barrel. The action is strong.
