Description:
The Colt .357 was made from 1953 to 1961. The 6-shot revolvers were fitted with a 4 or 6 inch barrel, Accro adjustable rear sight, checkered walnut standard or target grips, blue or nickel finished, and were chambered in .357 Magnum. This gun is as described and is blue finished, fitted with a 6 inch barrel, and checkered walnut target grips. In many ways this model, the .357 Magnum revolver, was the predecessor to the Colt Python. While it does not have the ventilated ribbed barrel, it utilizes the same frame, action, and grips as the Python. This example was built during the first full year of production, 1954, and has an extremely smooth action much like a vintage Python. It is in remarkably fine condition with 95%+ original blue and an excellent bore. The action functions perfectly and it has a very tight lock-up. The grips are in very fine condition, with one very small chip on the left grip and a pressure dent and small chip on the right grip. Sight screws are un-molested and the sights show no damage.
