Description:
The Colt Bisley was introduced as a target variation of the Single Action Army in 1894 and discontinued in 1912. This example was made in 1903. The original finish is completely gone and the whole gun has turned to a silver/grey patina, and it shows that it has been well used. However, nothing on it has been altered or changed. The grips are original and none of the screws have been "buggered". The bore is decent and certainly "shootable", and the action works smoothly. This Bisley is also in the most desirable configuration with a 7 1/2 inch barrel and chambered in .45 Long Colt. So many of these Bisley's we see have short barrels in less desirable calibers, and have had alterations to the sights or grips. This is an "honest" old Bisley at a fair price.
