Antique French Model 1822 Percussion Conversion Pistol
19th Century French Military Pistol
Here we present an antique French Model 1822 Percussion Conversion Pistol, made circa the 1820s at one of the various arsenals in 19th Century France. This pistol was updated to the more modern and reliable percussion system from flintlock, circa the 1840s.
The overall condition is fair to good. The metal surfaces have been polished. Some of the markings are still legible. The stock is a bit shy all around. The smooth bore is somewhat pitted. The action is strong, with the exception of the trigger return.
